The passage of time is like flowing water; ceaselessly moving through the days and nights. Time flies and now 20 years have passed. We were young, filled with youthful spirit but that was then. Those glorious days have passed. And as we gaze upon the tall and straight buildings around us, we cannot help but reminisce |

| and relive the adversities of our early years in our hearts and minds. |

Heroes, however, are born even during the direst of times. Back then, in the 1980’s, we were at the prime in our lives. The refreshing breeze of reforms and opening up to the world during that decade put us in the frontline for new opportunities to display our talent and youthful ambitions. It gave us the confidence and courage to harness our gifts for entrepreneurship and gave us the opportunity to demonstrate our creativity. |

| Being young is akin to wealth but only for those with faith, creativity and the courage to be innovative. We started from scratch but our belief propelled us to build our own hotels and establish our own brand. Different people have different standards of success but for those of us back then, we were just elated to be part of a team that aimed for and realized great achievements. Entrepreneurship is the soul of success for the youth. |

| The 20 years of our life has become not only a milestone; it marked new beginnings. As products of long, difficult years, we hold a spirit of great thanksgiving in our hearts. For the opportunities those years gave us and for those kind people who supported us, a group of young people armed only back then with their talent, perseverance and the unrelenting desire to realize a dream. |

| We had faith back then; faith we still have and we believe that now, the future remains bright. Although we are once again living through hard times with the global financial crisis, the Shanghai World Expo looms large before us as source of hope. Under the banner of the Communist Youth League, we have a team of motivated young people willing to learn and help propel us to success. Through the difficulties facing us now, we will continue to seek and seize opportunities; and we know, eventually we will prevail. Another bright and fruitful “spring season” in our business is yet to come. |
